IF: Contained

This week's Illustration Friday topic is "Contained." The heat is not allowing his poor snowman to contain his form - he's literally falling apart. What a Springtime Tragedy!

I actually wish we had this problem where I live. I've been living with -45 to -65 degrees below zero since before New Year's. There's no end to this cold snap (pun intended =) in sight. While they say it will warm up, day after day they're proven wrong. And it's killing my car!

I hope everyone's having a great start to their new year. Thanks for dropping by today and enjoy your weekend!

Poor little snowman! WOW I can't believe it is so cold where you live, how do you go outside??? Do you just have to stay in? I thought I was cold but you poor thing, I won't feel so sorry for myself now!

Thanks for your comments. I don't have to stay in all the time, I can go outside. I just put on a coat, hat & gloves like everyone else. =) The real problem is when you want to drive somewhere and the car starts acting up or doesn't start at all. That makes the cold a real pain! Kind of wish I were on a tropical beach right now. =)

I'm hoping to do one of those cruises to Alaska, this is a fun illustration!

Here in Ohio, we are going to have an "Arctic Blast" in weather this week. That means temps will be in the teens... If you were here you would be drinking pink lemonade!!!

Actually, Alaska made the evening news the other night and I thought of you. They were talking about the cold effecting vehicles... When does Spring come up there?

Awesome illo- I like how the sun- who's melting the snowman, looks concerned too. It's always fun visiting your blog to see your art and check out the temp in Alaska. Keep warm...

I'm not sure if Spring ever comes, once the snow melts it's summer. =) But last year it snowed until mid-May, if I recall correctly, and we didn't have much of a warm summer. Pretty much, from mid-May until early August it's summer, which is very short, but summers are always the best in Alaska.
