As I've previously said, I decided to go with a birthday or party theme with similar poses but different animals. I really don't have many birthday or party-themed images for licensing, so I decided to start there. I'd love your opinion - which is your favorite?
The black cat I could not help but to make a Halloween theme! Here's a close up, and I really like this one:
I've discovered a sort of glitter-effect brush, and used that for the eyes and nose. In college they called me "Glitter Girl" because I always used glitter in about all of my art projects. So figure it's about time I learn how to create the same look digitally ... Oh joy!
I can't believe it is October 20th. Halloween is around the corner, and a few days after that, the much-anticipated results of the election. I don't know about you, but I'm beginning to wonder what the news stations will have left to cover after this election is over. It seems that's the topic of absolutely everything lately! I really don't recall a race this intensely covered in the past, but then again, I was still in high school at the beginning of Clinton's last term.
Well, I guess I about covered everything today ... art, Halloween, life, and even some politics. Thanks for dropping by - I hope you all have a great week!

I am really taken by the puppy image in the top left...
There is something different about the way the eyes are finished. They are more alive and energetic! He/she seems to just pop out of the square with excitement!
I also like the thicker black line at the top of the eyes, like eyelashes... I think that really adds something that is uniquely you in your images....

I was just complaining about it being a high of 56 today.....
How do you do it?
Yes, 16 degrees today, but it's warmer than the other day when it was 8 degrees out with wind. You kind of get used to the weather up here, and I think once it goes below zero, telling the difference in temperature gets harder; it can easily be-20 or -40 out without noticing that much of a difference. How do I do it? I wear my coat, and ... oh yeah, I try to stay inside a lot. :) I will admit though, it makes walking the dogs a nightmare.
I really like the way you do eyes! They have kinda a Don Bluth vibe to them- very alive. Wow- it's only 6 degrees with flurries in your neck of the woods. I'm in Denver- still no slow but anytime now.

It's good to hear from you. I love that you are digging into your work to help with all that you are dealing with right now. These characters are so festive and fun. I adore your black cat and love the effects you are achieving with the glitter, especially with the eyes - they are mesmerizing.
