What I'm Up To ...

I know, it's been a little while since I last posted. I have a lot of things going on and on my mind, but I thought it'd be nice to post again today.

These days there seem to be babies everywhere, so I thought why not draw another baby? I wanted to combine the baby theme with the peace theme, and here's what I came up with, titled "Peace, Baby!"
Babies are peaceful (well, when they're not crying :) as well as fearless. I think the idea that they are fearless came from watching "Baby's Day Out" with my family recently. So I guess this piece is inspired by many different things.

I've been assigned work for a new children's magazine, so that's what I'll be doing next week, along with more illos for licensing. Plus I have a few other things I need to get accomplished, though I can't talk about those. Not yet anyway. :)

Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful week!

There are babies everywhere in Alaska too?!

I really think we are experiencing the next BABY BOOM!!!! They are everywhere in Ohio!!!

I actually spent the weekend painting a nursery and have another lined up for next weekend!

I like this illo. I like that the baby is hugging the lion instead of the sheep, though I can't explain why!
