I wanted to take a moment and share my newest image with my friends, clients and blog readers. This one's titled "Prehistoric Hunt" and is super-detailed, kind of like Garden Shrew (see post below). While I am definitely maintaining my less detailed cartoon-style work, I wanted to try developing work that is more painterly, and for a bit of an older-kid audience, which I am successfully doing. :)Having been trained in archaeology and anthropology in college, this image came naturally to me. I inked, digitized it and painted it, which took a good week from start to finish. Image size is approximately 24" x 36" and I worked with a 3 gig file size. Try saving that every 10 minutes. ;)
